A New Beginning … The Bass
I have been playing piano since I was very young. Took lessons for YEARS!!! My mother was a country singer and instilled a passion for music in me. Her passion was mostly limited to one style of music, so I took that a huge step further and began to broaden my musical horizons around the age of 12.
I picked up the flute in middle/high school for “band”. It was the only instrument I was permitted to play since it wasn’t too noisy. Time went on and I lost interest in any instrument except my voice.
About a year ago, I picked up the guitar. I had messed around with them before since my mother played. I knew how to tune it, that was it. After 9 months of continuously practicing the guitar, I knew that the ideal instrument was a stringed one, but not a guitar.
There is something about the bass that moves me…drives me to want to play again and again. I have found a new venture in music. A new destination to journey to. I have already begun this adventure into the land of bass, yet I have so much more to go. Join me, will you?
